A tragic development is the death of a 22-year-old nursing student at the Nalerigu Nursing Training College in Ghana’s Northeast Region.
We have gathered in a video making rounds online that this student named Claudia Akiskame allegedly committed suicide.
The tragic event reportedly happened after her relationship with her partner who is apparently a married man with two wives and four kids ended abruptly.
According to reports, Claudia, a second-year nursing student with a bright future was devastated when her partner ended their relationship.
She allegedly decided to take her own life as a result of the emotional toll of the breakup.
According to reports, the young woman had a strong emotional attachment to the relationship which made the breakup even more painful for her.
Sources close to the family claim that the community and Claudia’s loved ones are in shock and grief following her unexpected death.
She was described by friends and classmates at the Nalerigu Nursing Training College as a bright upbeat young woman who loved helping people and aspired to work in healthcare.
Chuchuliga, a small town in Ghana’s Upper East Region hosted Claudia Akiskame’s funeral.
Family, friends and community members attended the solemn event all of whom lamented the premature death of a young woman with so much promise.
