Rappers Medikal and Amerado have engaged in an intense clash about who should be named Ghana’s best rapper in 2024.
The conflict started when Amerado, in a message on X, claimed that he deserves the Artiste of the Year award at the forthcoming Telecel Ghana Music Awards, citing his achievements.
“Artiste of the Year conversation without Amerado under the 2024 Year of Review is an exposure of ignorance and consequently brutal to the industry and upcoming ones,” he wrote.
Medikal quickly rebutted the allegation, declaring his dominance in the rap scene.
“I fi ghostwrite rap for your favourite rapper and still kill am on a song. Nobody de rap pass Medikal for Ghana I swear. And that’s why I’m the highest-paid rapper in the country too!” he declared.
The conflict intensified when Medikal supported a fan’s remark ridiculing Amerado’s fame, asserting that Amerado couldn’t even “fill” Lindador.
