Ghanaian rap legend, Sarkodie has been embroiled in online controversy following a recent Snapchat post that drew criticism from numerous social media users.
The rapper simply wrote, “Back to gari soakings like we never left,”
However, his seemingly innocuous remark swiftly descended into a contentious argument with some internet users accusing him of being insensitive and connecting his remarks to politics.
Many online users were offended by the post which led to a barrage of criticism in the comment section. .
One angry commenter wrote, “Person go do aa then we go lose respect give am.” Another added, “Very hypocritical and don’t have Ghana at heart.” Another commenter bluntly called him a “sellout rapper,” further fueling the heated discussion.
