“I Never Dreamt Of Becoming An Actor Or An Apostle” – Apostle John Prah Opens Up

John Prah

Pastor and well-known Kumawood actor Apostle John Prah has talked candidly about his childhood aspirations.

During an appearance on Emelia Brobbey’s YouTube show, Okukuseku, he discussed his professional decisions and the difficulties of juggling faith with cinema.

Apostle Prah, surprisingly, had no aspirations to become an actor or a priest. His first ambition was to practice law. Following his final year of high school, he enrolled in short Bible courses at Pan African College and Victory Bible College. As a result, a strong ministry foundation was established, and he was ordained as a pastor.

In the same interview, the actor said that he frequently declined parts that went against his Christian convictions. For this reason, he was regularly featured in Kumawood movies as an evangelist or pastor. He gave gratitude to filmmakers who recognized his ideals and gave him parts that reflected them.

Apostle Prah responded to a question concerning how to handle sexual scenes by saying that the actors were aware of his role as a preacher and changed the parts to keep them from being offensive. He said that leading a Christian life while performing was challenging, but he claimed that he overcame it by being resolute and having faith.
