Rex Omar Didn’t Do Anything For GHAMRO As The President, He Doesn’t Deserve To Be Tourism & Arts Minister? – Sally Mann

Entertainment critic, Sally Mann, has made a bold statement regarding Rex Omar, the former President of the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO).

Sally claims that because of his subpar leadership in the creative arts sector, Rex Omar is unfit for any ministerial position under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.

Sally Mann was unreserved in her criticism in a recent interview on Joy Prime.

While Rex Omar is unquestionably a gifted musician who has made a significant contribution to Ghana’s music scene with his impressive song catalogue she pointed out that his leadership and managerial abilities are lacking.

She specifically attacked his time as President of GHAMRO saying that he did not significantly advance the creative arts sector while he was in office.

“Rex Omar is an excellent musician; he has made some incredible music that we all love. But when it comes to managing people and resources, he is simply not good at it. He can’t manage money. He was given a lot of resources, but he failed to use them to improve the creative arts industry,” Sally stated.

She continued by asking why someone like that would even be given consideration for a ministerial position.

She asserts that Rex Omar lacks the managerial abilities and performance history required to warrant such a position of power.

“Why should he be given a ministerial role? He doesn’t even deserve to be the Deputy Minister of Creative Arts, let alone the Minister. Leadership is about delivering results, and he clearly didn’t during his time at GHAMRO,” she added.
