Kwesi Nyantakyi, the last president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has stated that if he had been in charge of the organization, he would not have fired Otto Addo in a recent interview on Asempa FM.
Instead, he would provide him the assistance he needs to acquire and develop his Ghanaian skills.
No, I would have fired him if I hadn’t found someone to assist him technically. But I’ll let him remain and study if I can find someone to help him technically and develop his Ghanaian capacity,” he added.
Under Otto Addo’s coaching, Ghana’s Black Stars were unable to earn a spot in the 2025 African Cup of Nations.
After failing to go past the group rounds of previous African Cups of Nations, Ghana will be missing this tournament for the first time.
