The administration of President John Mahama has written to Parliament to request approval for ten regional ministers.
The President’s nominees are listed and their portfolios are provided in the letter to the Speaker of Parliament.
This action is a part of his post-appointment administration restructuring efforts.
As part of an administrative restructuring initiative to improve efficiency and streamline government operations, the president has already announced a reduction in the number of government ministries from 29 to 23.
Ten candidates have been named to lead Ghana’s various regions in the most recent document which also includes a formal request for parliamentary approval in accordance with constitutional provisions.
