10 Feared Dead As Soldiers Clash with Galamseyers Over Obuasi Gold Mine “AngloGold”

There is a video on the internet that shows soldiers and a group of illegal miners known as Galamseyers fighting in Ghana’s Obuasi Mines AngloGold.

When the small-scale miners allegedly tried to break into the restricted area the soldiers and Galamseyers reportedly clashed.

The situation escalated when military personnel guarded and protected the mining area in an effort to stop the Galamseyers from breaking through.

The enraged Galamseyers then began to stalk the town allegedly in an attempt to exact revenge on AngloGold Ashanti (AGA), the mines operators and their employees and property.

Ten people including small-scale miners were reportedly shot dead during the altercation and multiple cars and other properties were also set on fire.

While some are on medication and still in critical condition others have been sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.
