Ghanaian rapper-turned-singer Fameye stated in an interview with Delay on February 3, 2025, that he is excited to have either American rappers Lil Wayne or J. Cole or Nigerian superstars Davido or Asake appear on the eagerly awaited remix of his song “Very Soon.”
“I am in the process of collaborating with an American or Nigerian rapper on my ‘Very Soon’ remix. Lil Wayne and J. Cole are American rappers that I’m interested in, and Davido or Asake are Nigerian musicians. When I mentioned that I related to Asake, people on social media began pursuing me. I didn’t take their remarks seriously since I thought they weren’t required,” he said.
In addition, Fameye stated that he should win more than two awards at the next Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) as a result of his efforts in 2024.
I put a lot of effort into 2024; thus, I don’t deserve to receive only one honor. I am therefore not just focused on “Very Soon! He said, “I’m also trying to win the most popular song of the year, the best video, the best collaborations, and even artist and songwriter of the year.”
