“The Wig You Wear Can Take Away Your Glory” – Sonnie Badu Explains

Sonnie Badu

Ghanaian gospel musician and preacher Dr. Sonnie Badu, who is well-known in the UK, has sparked discussions on women’s hairstyles by warning against wearing wigs too much.

The UK pastor, who feels that wearing wigs has serious spiritual repercussions, urged young ladies to embrace their natural hair instead of depending on them during a lecture at his congregation, RockHill congregation.

According to Dr. Badu, a woman’s natural hair has divine meaning, and wearing artificial wigs might cause her to lose her “glory.” By continuously choosing wigs over embracing their God-given beauty, he added, many women unwittingly impede their spiritual rewards.

There is a glory that comes with being natural. Some of you do not even know the origin of the wigs you put on your head, yet you wear them daily without understanding the spiritual implications. Young ladies, learn to love your natural hair,” he passionately remarked.
