In a scathing monologue on his 3FM show Urban Blend, Blakk Rasta was unreserved in his criticism of the state of Ghana’s Parliament.
In response to the recent suspensions of some MPs due to the chaos during the ministerial vetting, the outspoken radio host questioned the legitimacy of the nation’s legislative body, asking, “Some MPs have been suspended, yet Afenyo-Markin is not part of them. If he was truly the ringleader, why is he not facing punitive measures?”
Blakk Rasta became irate over what he saw as selective justice, drawing comparisons between Ghana’s Parliament and the notorious remarks made about certain countries by US President Donald Trump.
He said, “I don’t know what to say about Ghana’s Parliament anymore at this point.” “What a pathetic Parliament House! Actually, it’s a house of—pardon my French—this is how Donald Trump characterizes some nations!
Beyond the suspensions, Blakk Rasta pursued further extensive charges of manipulation and corruption. “What we have here is a Parliament drowning in deep crisis—this crisis is called shame—from accusations of bribery and corruption to pleas and manipulations!”
