The former Managing Director of SIC Insurance Company Limited, Ms. Hollistar Duah-Yentumi Hollistar Duah-Yentumi has made some bold demands in her lawsuit against the company.
She claims that her termination was unlawful.
Replacing her in January was a presidential appointment, however, her contract was supposed to run until 2028.
In her legal action, she argues that her dismissal did not follow due process and is demanding the following:
- A monthly salary of GHS 70,000
- 10% annual basic salary increase
- Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) and provident fund contributions
- Official accommodation or an equivalent allowance of GHS 15,000 per month
- Membership fees for professional and social clubs
- Health insurance coverage for herself and her family
- Provision of an official vehicle and fuel allowance of 450 litres per month
- Severance benefits, including six months’ salary for each year of service if terminated before contract expiration
Ms. Duah-Yentumi is seeking a court order to enforce her contract’s terms as the case moves forward in the High Court.
