Ghanaian US-based Journalist, Kevin Taylor has sparked controversy with his latest remarks.
He accused former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings of betraying her late husband, Jerry John Rawlings, for political gain.
His comments come in response to a heated moment in Parliament.
The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) reportedly referred to Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings as “a murderer’s daughter.”
This was shocking, however, Kevin Taylor expressed his outrage.
He blamed Nana Konadu’s alleged political affiliations with the NPP for the ease with which the ruling party disrespected her daughter.
Although his words were strong, he believed this disrespect also tarnished the legacy of the late Jerry John Rawlings in Parliament.
According to him, she “sold” Rawlings to President Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP. Because of this, they could rewrite history and disrespect his memory after his passing.
“Your greed is the reason the NPP has the audacity to call your daughter a murderer’s daughter. You have been in bed with them for years, and now they have turned on you,” Taylor stated.
