“Nacee Is Not A Gospel Musician” – Ras Kuuku

Nacee

Recently, dancehall singer Ras Kuuku disagreed with the TGMA’s board’s decision to restrict the gospel categories to just gospel performers in an interview with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz.

In response to the topic of whether Nacee is a gospel artist, he asked why individuals such as himself will not be permitted to participate in the gospel categories.

He pointed out that Nacee is a producer rather than a gospel artist.

Ras Kuuku responded that Nacee has made secular songs like “Kwen Kwen,” which he wrote for the National Democratic Congress political party, when DJ Slim brought up the fact that Nacee has written and sung several church songs.

Nacee is well-known for secular songs like “Boys Boys,” “Dondo,” and “Paddy Paddy,” in addition to his evangelical creations.

“The song judged by the Academy, Board, and the General Public as the most popular Christian song, commercially released in the year under review,” is how the Telecel Ghana Music Awards describe “Best Gospel Song.” The song must have sparked the most popular enthusiasm and received a lot of support from the populace. This category is limited to songs sung by gospel performers.
