Apostle Emmanuel Inkoom has boldly stated that white weddings have no spiritual or cultural relevance in Africa and should be reassessed.
Speaking on Joy Prime, which is monitored by Dklassgh.com, he said, “A white wedding is not even a marriage. It has no spiritual or cultural importance; simply commercial significance. It’s simply an unneeded financial burden for families.”
He contended that marriage is primarily cultural, and in Africa, traditional marriage is what actually unites a pair.
He went on to say, “White gowns used to represent purity, but now people wear them without understanding what they mean.” “We are blindly copying traditions that are not ours.”
According to him, pastors should focus on blessing traditional marriages instead of encouraging expensive white weddings. He further advised couples to invest in their future instead of spending lavishly on a ceremony that, in his view, does not hold any real value.
