“Branding Is Not About Cars” – Blakk Rasta

Blakk Rasta

Blakk Rasta has advised Ghanaian artists to put more money into their careers and branding than into fancy homes and cars.

He underlined that effective branding is crucial for long-term success and worldwide recognition when speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz.

He said that instead of investing in ostentatious materials, artists should concentrate on improving their technique. “Branding is about your job, not just about mansions and vehicles.

“Invest in your professional life,” he said. Gospel performer Sonnie Badu was mentioned by Blakk Rasta as an artist who has effectively established his brand.

He said that Badu’s ability to draw sizable crowds in Ghana and elsewhere is a direct result of the resources and work he has invested in his trade. “Observe Sonnie Badu; he makes investments in his performances, the types of performers he brings on stage, the crowds he manages to attract at his shows,” he remarked.

On the other hand, the host of the radio program had concerns about Stonebwoy’s stagecraft, a dancehall performer. He expressed his disappointment after seeing several shortcomings in Stonebwoy’s performances and suggested that more money be spent on stage production to improve the artist’s performances.
