“We Should Be Careful How We Politicise Everything” – Vim Lady Tells Party Loyalist Amidst Jane Naana’s Illness

Regarding rumors that Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has traveled overseas for medical care, Ghanaian media personality Afia Pokua, also referred to as Vim Lady, has offered her opinion.

Her response coincides with a resurgence of discussions on Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa’s support for shielding members of the legislative, executive, and judiciary from outside medical care.

Vim Lady could not hold back from pointing out the irony of the situation, considering that Ablakwa, who has been a vociferous opponent of politicians seeking medical treatment overseas, and Naana Jane are members of the same party.

For this reason, I constantly advise us to exercise caution when politicizing anything. It was Dr. Bawumia yesterday, and it’s Naana Jane today. Who knows who it will be tomorrow? On her Gyaso Gyaso show on Okay, she stated

Although Ghana needs to improve its healthcare system, she admitted that some facilities necessary for urgent diseases are still lacking.

“We cannot act as though Ghanaian hospitals are equipped with what they need. Even government officials are aware of this, which is why they all fly overseas when necessary,” she said.
