Entrepreneur and media celebrity Deloris Frimpong Manso, better known by her stage name Delay, has declared her plan to adopt an 11-year-old Ashaiman child.

Delay made the offer to the girl, Klenam, during a recent activation campaign for a sanitary pad business in which she is an ambassador.

On Monday, February 17, 2025, Delay oversaw a marketing campaign for one of her companies at the Ashaiman market.

Activities included a performance by singer Sister Afia and an audience dance competition as part of the promotion.

Klenam was among the several individuals who took the stage to perform their dance skills.

In her conversation with Delay prior to dancing on stage, Klenam expressed her love for Delay.

The presenter of the Delay Show saw that the girl’s heart was racing more quickly and inquired as to why. In response, the girl said, “It is because I love you.”

In response to more questioning, she said that their mother, a fish vendor, was caring for her and her four siblings.

She said that because their father had died, their mother was the family’s sole provider.

Delay was moved by her situation and agreed to adopt and care for the girl. She urged the girl to continue concentrating on her studies and to honor her mother’s leadership.
