“MTN Does Not Steal Data” – CEO

MTN

For many years, a typical complaint among mobile network users in Ghana and elsewhere has been, “MTN is stealing my data.”

This assertion has been reiterated by other telecom carriers and in various nations.

The CEO of MTN Ghana, Stephen Blewett, is now correcting the record, stating that there is no data theft and that MTN has no motivation to commit such a crime.

“I have been in this position for a long time, and every nation I have visited has told me, ‘You are stealing my data.'” During an exclusive interview on Wednesday, April 2, at MTN House in Accra, Mr. Blewett stated, “Every single country.”

However, he maintains that the accusations are just not accurate.

Customers of MTN were reassured by Mr. Blewett that any kind of data theft does not benefit him or the business.

We have no motive to desire to steal your data, he said, “and I will say this very clearly and on record—so serious, God is my witness.”

“The income determines my compensation. I can’t disclose it if I take your info. Please don’t give me a bonus. Additionally, we have extremely robust systems that are audited. We have no intention of stealing your information. I swear to you.
