Test the vaccine in countries that record more cases – Davido
Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido is the latest influential person to join the outrage that sparked concerning a conversation by two French Doctors who suggested that the COVID-19 experimental drug be tested in Africa.
In a twitter post, the award-winning Nigerian musician wrote in pidgin that: “Make dem go use the vaccine first for where the cases plenty pass”

He is not far from the truth. The virus has affected certain individual countries more than entire Africa combined.

According to reports, the confirmed cases worldwide as at today is 1,141,190. Out of this number, Africa as a whole has 7,000 cases, UK has 41,903, Spain 124, 736, Italy 119,827, USA has 277,000 cases, Germany 92,150 cases among others. If there is a vaccine, it will only be prudent to help those with the highest number of cases.
Moreover, the disease originated in China. Anyone who finds a vaccine must try that vaccine where it originated. As early on clarified by the Ivorian footballer Didier Drogba, Africans cannot be taken as human guinea pigs.
