“I Was Surprised My Song Won Popular Song Of The Year” – Diana Hamilton Reveals

Diana Antwi Hamilton, a gospel musician, expressed her surprise at her song, Adom, receiving one of the top honors at the 2021 Ghana Music Awards in an interview with Hitz FM.

The song won the Most Popular Song of the Year award at the country’s most prestigious music awards system when it was released in September 2020.

KiDi’s Enjoyment, Keche, and Kuami Eugene’s No Dulling, Sarkodie’s Happy Day, Medikal’s La Hustle Remix, Kofi Jamar’s Ekorso, and Yaw Tog’s Sore were all beaten out by the song.

“I knew Adom would win the Most Popular Song of the Year. Adom was the song. It’s not like it didn’t deserve it or anything. However, I was surprised Adom won that category,” said Hamilton to Andy Dosty, host of Daybreak Hitz on Monday, June 28, 2021.

Meanwhile, Elikem Kumodzie, the fashion designer and media figure, has voiced his respect for Hon. Kennedy Agyapong’s efforts.
