“I Wasn’t Upset When I Lost The AOTY Award To Diana Hamilton”- Kidi Says
Dennis Nana Dwamena, also known as Kidi, the Ghanaian musician, has claimed that he was never furious after losing the Artiste of the Year award to Diana Hamilton.
He thought that everyone who was nominated in that category deserved to win, and despite the fact that he had great expectations for winning the award and was disappointed, he was never upset.
Kidi expressed his disappointment after Diana Hamilton was named as the winner on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz show, but he had no choice but to give her a standing ovation as she came up to the platform to accept her award.
“There was no rage; there was disappointment, but no rage.” He expressed his disappointment by saying, “It is human to feel upset when you wish for something and don’t receive it.”
“I kept snapping photographs with people even after they announced the winner. If I bore aa like anybody wey go take ein phone come my front I go spoil am,” he said.
Kidi said on the same broadcast that he was hoping to win a lot of accolades at the 22nd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards last weekend.
Kidi added that he decided before the night that he would have some positive feelings because he was so worried about the entire award show.
