Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has said that he has lost track of the number of accolades he has received over the course of his successful career.
Since Dr. Duncan found him on Kasahare Levels on Adom FM a little over a decade ago, the head of SarkCess Music, which formerly housed Akwaboah and Strongman, has officially garnered over 100 accolades.
When questioned about the number of accolades he has received, the renowned rapper admitted he had no idea how many he had won in chit-chat with veteran interviewer Tim Westwood TV.
“I only get updates on the number of awards I’ve won through my Twitter followers page,” he stated, “and that’s where I find out the precise number of awards earned.”
Sarkodie has received 107 honors in all, making him Africa’s most awarded rapper. According to current data, the Ghanaian rapper and hip-life musician has garnered 107 accolades from 191 nominations, including 25 Ghana Music Awards.
