“4×4 Was Meant To Be Castro And I Before My Other Colleagues Came on Board” – Captain Planet Reveals
In a twiteer space, yesterday organised by Journalist Albert (Bongo Ideas), the Ghanaian rapper and leader of the disbanded 4×4 music group, explained how he ended up in a group with his colleagues Abortion (now Coded) and Fresh Prince.
According to Sylvanus Dodji Jeoffrey, 4×4 was formed from Buk Bak. That is, they are offstrings of the legendary group, as Prince Bright of Buk Bak had a great relationship with Prince Bright of Buk Bak even when he was in school.
He explained that before creating the 4×4 music group, Prince Bright introduced him to Mucic Producer, Jay Q, where he used to sleep in the same room as the producer and hiplife legend, Castro.
As time passed, he wanted to form a music group with Castro so that he could do the rapping and Castro could do the singing, but it didn’t go as planned, as he was introduced to Coded (then Abortion), who did the ragga thing, and they kept playing along from 2003 until Abortion also introduced his classmate (Fresh Prince), who was a singer, in 2005, to join them.
They started dropping hits as a group and Castro went on as a solo artist.
