Ana Kasparian was born Anahit Misak Kasparian on 7th July 1986 in Los Angeles in an Armenian household and grew up with Armenian as her first tongue as the parents talked in their native language at home. 

She couldn't speak English until she got enrolled into Kindergarten and from there she slowly started learning the English language.

Ana studied in the Alternative Magnet High School of Van Nuys and graduated in 2004. For her higher education, she chose Journalism as her stream and got enrolled in California State University. 

She graduated in 2007 and with some great ambitions of making it big in the journalism world, she started doing internships in different news and radio stations.

In 2007, she graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Ana also graduated from Cal Northridge with a Master of Arts in Political Science in 2010.

She joined The Young Turks as a fill-in producer in 2007 and rose through the ranks to become the show's co-host. She has also presented a show on the TYT network called “The Point.”

She comes from an Armenian immigrant family, and her great grandparents were firsthand witnesses to the tragic tragedy that occurred in 1915, dubbed “The Armenian Genocide” by historians. 

Ana didn't speak a word of English until she was much older, and she's come a long way to become one of the most popular hosts of a popular show. Ana worked as an assistant for numerous news organizations before joining The Young Turks, including CBS Radio and KFWB. 

She's also worked as a host for ‘TYT University' and ‘On Point,' as well as AOL news. She is an agnostic who is noted for her lovely appearance and confident on-screen presence in addition to her journalistic abilities.

She is serving as the lecturer and professor of broadcast journalism at California State University, Northridge. In 2015, Kasparian became the op-ed writer of ‘Raw Story.'
