Australian collegiate Tyrese Proctor born on 1 April 2004, is a basketball player who plays for the Atlantic Coast Conference's Duke Blue Devils (ACC) as a point guard .
Born in Sydney, Proctor developed the passion for basketball at a young age. At age sixteen, he made his debut for the senior Australia national team in a 2022 FIBA Asia Cup qualifier against New Zealand in February 2021.
He came back to play for Australia in their 2023 FIBA World Cup qualifying victory over China in July 2022. He was chosen to play for Australia in the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup in Indonesia later that month, and he was instrumental in the team's run for the gold medal.
Tyrese Proctor Injury Update
Duke basketball player Tyrese Proctor suffered a lower leg injury in the team's recent game against Georgia Tech, leading to his early exit from the court. The injury occurred within the first two minutes of the game when Proctor rolled his left ankle while driving to the basket.
Unable to put weight on his injured ankle, the sophomore guard had to be assisted off the court and did not return to the game. Duke's coach, Jon Scheyer, mentioned that Proctor would undergo an X-ray over the weekend to assess the extent of the injury, but as of now, there is no further update on his condition.
