Born in Porbandar, Gujarat, on October 18, 1991, Jaydev Unadkat is a professional cricket player who represents the Indian national team, Saurashtra, and Sussex. He took up cricket at a young age and has represented several Indian Premier League teams.

Unadkat achieved his best T20 career bowling figures in May 2013, with a 5/25 against the Delhi Daredevils. In 2014, he was selected by Delhi in the IPL auction, and in February 2016, the Kolkata Knight Riders made the winning bid of ₹160 lakh (US$200,000) to secure his services.

Unadkat moved to Rising Pune Supergiants in 2017, where he took a hattrick against Sunrisers Hyderabad during the final over. His performances were recognized, and he was named in the squad for India Blue for the 2018–19 Duleep Trophy and India B's squad for the 2018–19 Deodhar Trophy.

Unadkat's bowling prowess was most evident in 2019 when he took 200 wickets in the Ranji Trophy. He won the title with Saurashtra and was named in the India Red team's squad for the 2019–20 Duleep Trophy and India A for the 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy.

Unadkat joined the Mumbai Indians in February 2022 and was again bought by the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL auction for the 2023 Indian Premier League tournament.
