“EOCO Should Investigate Politicians Not Celebrities, They’re The Ones That Live Lavish Lives” – Okyeame Kwame
Renowned rapper and musician Okyeame Kwame has addressed the myths surrounding the lives of celebrities, dispelling the idea that Ghanaian celebrities lead extravagant lifestyles.
As to the musical tale, politicians are the ones who have demonstrated opulent lifestyles. The tendency of society to examine the material belongings of celebrities while ignoring the opulent lifestyles of many politicians was brought to light by Okyeame Kwame. He contends that while the spotlight is typically on the sparkle and glamour of celebrities, politicians frequently enjoy a degree of wealth that is overlooked.
In response to the Economic and Organized Crime Office’s plan to begin lifestyle audits aimed at celebrities and anyone thought to have excessive wealth, he made this statement.
In contrast, the entrepreneur claimed in an interview with Berla Sunday on the New Day program that celebrities struggle financially since their incomes are insufficient to support their expensive lives.
Having worked with celebrities for around twenty years, I don’t think they will find many celebrities or filmmakers who are “criminals” since these individuals are going through hardships. Being an influencer or artist in this field and managing to make ends meet is a really tough job. I haven’t seen any famous people driving Ferraris, Maybachs, Porsches, or multimillion-dollar homes. In what location are they? Present one to me.
“However, the people that I have seen living lavishly are politicians. I have seen civil servants who make maybe ₵14000 a month and drive S-class,” he noted.
