“I Want My Movie To Sell On Netflix That’s Why I Brought In The Nigeria Stars” – Lilwin Clarifies

After choosing to include Ramsey Nouah and other non-traditional actors in his film “A Country Called Ghana,” Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, also referred to as LilWin, has addressed criticism.

He says that he chose to use performers from Nigeria because he wants his new film to be seen by as many people as possible.

He used the example of how actors from China and India appear in certain American films to support his assertion, and he said he used a similar strategy to plan his next project.

LilWin bemoaned the criticism he had gotten for including Nollywood actors in his film and gave an explanation of his decision in an interview with Power FM.

“Many people are wondering why I worked with Nigerian artists, but the reality is that the film won't work without big names from outside. Chinese and Indian actors have sometimes appeared in American motion pictures. So why are people upset because I included Nigerian performers in my film?

“I don't comprehend. Is it possible to include all Ghanaian actors in a single film? No. Therefore, when I post it to Netflix, it's not only for Ghanaians to see; it's meant for viewers worldwide as well, so if you want to create progress, you have to highlight foreigners. Because they want to be known worldwide, Nigerian musicians collaborate with foreign celebrities like Chris Brown, Eminem, and others, he stated.
