After the NPP presidential primary, Prophet Elbernard publicly apologized and considered the consequences of his forecast that Kennedy Agyapong would win, while Alex Kwaku Tetteh revealed details of Agyapong’s personal worries.
In the run-up to the New Patriotic Party’s presidential primaries on January 31, 2026, Alex Kwaku Tetteh, the founder and president of the Centre for International Trade and Education Ghana (CITEG), revealed information about a purported private worry Kennedy Agyapong had about Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun.
Mr. Tetteh claims that the vocal politician told his supporters that he was concerned about the General Overseer of Spirit Life Revival Ministries’ course in light of a prophecy connected to his political aspirations. Kennedy Agyapong, he said, was concerned that the church was using the prophecy too much.
Tetteh noted that the former Assin Central Member of Parliament had shown great concern for the cleric’s welfare in an interview on Top FM on February 3, 2026. “I was afraid for Elbernard,” he stated. Because of him, he believed the prophet was overstepping his bounds and placing undue strain on his church. “I couldn’t stop thinking about what he said all night,” Tetteh disclosed.
He went on to say that Kennedy Agyapong thought he had insights that even his devoted followers couldn’t understand, implying that some followers were being misled. Tetteh added that the presidential candidate seemed to have secretly expected to lose the primaries.
Prophet Elbernard had stated repeatedly in the lead-up to the elections that Kennedy Agyapong would be the victor of the party’s presidential campaign. He asserted that an angelic encounter had given him a divine revelation of the result.
