The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has thrown his support behind the Togbe Afrika Homecoming held at Infinity Stars Hotel in Penyi, describing the initiative as a valuable platform for promoting music, culture and youth empowerment in the Volta Region.
The Minister’s support was warmly received by Togbe Afrika, who expressed appreciation for his leadership and commitment to initiatives that unite communities and create opportunities for young people.
The Homecoming also marks Togbe Afrika’s return to music after more than two decades. The initiative goes beyond entertainment, seeking to inspire young people to stay away from drug abuse while encouraging them to pursue education, entrepreneurship and other productive opportunities.
Togbe Afrika thanked Hon. James Gunu for believing in the vision and supporting the initiative. He stressed that his return to music is not solely a personal comeback but part of a broader effort to promote the region’s youth, music and cultural heritage.
“I sincerely appreciate the Hon. Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, for his support and for believing in this vision. This is not only about Togbe Afrika. It is about our youth, our music, our culture and our Volta Region,” he said.
Togbe Afrika further called on other political leaders, businesses and development partners to support initiatives that showcase the talents of young people and contribute to the cultural and economic development of the Volta Region.
