“I Will Be Highly Disappointed If I Don’t Win Rapper, Especially If I Lose To Obibini” – Amerado

Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, also known as Amerado Burner, the young Ghanaian rapper, has stated that he will be upset if he does not win the Rapper of the Year title at the 23rd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

The prominent artist revealed this in a recent Hitz FM submission with Andy Dosty, a popular Ghanaian show presenter.

He stated in his submission that

When the nominations were released, I assumed I'd be nominated for Album/EP of the Year. But I'm OK now. I believe the board of directors is more knowledgeable.

When I wasn't nominated for Album/EP of the Year, I was unhappy. I'm all right now. I am pleased with my consistency. I always strive to be nominated for Rapper of the Year, and I've been nominated twice, in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

Of course, I will be sad if I do not win Rapper of the Year. I am a human being. I'll come back stronger if I lose to Obibini in Rapper of the Year. “
