Ghanaian Gospel musician Mrs Florence Obinim has shared details about her background and music career during an interview to recount her life journey on Angel FM.
Mrs Florence Obinim revealed that she did not attend Senior High School, opening up about her early life and how her music journey began.
Speaking in the interview, she reflected on her school days and how she got her nickname:
“I did not attend SHS, but my JHS nickname was ‘Onana’ because my name was Nana Akua, so they added ‘O’ to it and it became ‘Onana.’”
She explained that her passion for music started at a young age while she was still in school.
“My singing career started in school. I was involved in every singing activity in my school, and I was usually the one leading.”
Florence Obinim further disclosed that her first official song came when she got married, with support from her husband.
“The first song I released was ‘Osoro’; I was married, and it was my husband, Bishop Obinim, who produced that particular song.”
