Ghanaian journalist and social commentator Kevin Ekow Badu Taylor has fulfilled a promise he made to veteran broadcaster Nana Yaa Brefo, who is currently working as an Uber driver in the United States.
In a video circulating on social media, Nana Yaa Brefo revealed that she stopped working in radio and relocated to the U.S. for personal reasons. She shared that she now drives for Uber, using an old vehicle for the job.
After seeing the video, Kevin Ekow Badu Taylor promised to buy her a new car because of the condition and age of the vehicle she was using.
Initially, many people believed the promise might be another instance of Taylor’s often controversial commentary style.
However, the situation unfolded differently when he honored the pledge and purchased a $19,000 car for the former broadcaster.
The gesture has surprised many, especially given the past misunderstandings between the two media personalities. The development appears to signal reconciliation and goodwill between them.
The update was shared on social media with the message: “With all due respect – Loud Silence Media. God richly bless you.”
