“The New Nigerian Artistes Have Great Songs But Still, Ghana Must Shine” – D-Black
Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, better known in entertainment as D-Black, the CEO of Black Avenue Muzik, has praised the current generation of Nigerian singers.
According to him, the newcomers from the West African state definitely make excellent music, which is widely broadcast in many African nations, including Ghana.
He goes on to say that, despite the fierce competition that Ghanaian musicians are now facing, they would continue to work hard to market their music to the rest of the globe.
“Cha the new naija artists dema songs de bee roff.
Awurade Asem Ben nie. But still Ghana must shine!” he wrote in a tweet dated, September 27, 2021.
With their songs, Nigerian singers have succeeded to break into the worldwide market. Nigerian music dominates the top 10 tracks on Apple Music in Ghana alone.
Despite campaigns to promote local artists and their songs, local radio and television stations continue to broadcast foreign music at the cost of Ghanaian music.
