Efia Odo, one of the loudest voices in the #FixTheCountry movement, has stated that she will be taking a break from social media as well as her involvement in the campaign.
She is getting political, according to the activist, and that is not who or what she is.
On Monday, July 5, she made an Instagram post on her official profile revealing her plans to take a vacation.
The post’s content reveals a lot of terrible feelings the actress may be experiencing right now.
“I will like to take this time to let you all know that I’m going on a hiatus. My mental health is at stake at the moment.
My love for this country and humanity has turned into something else I am not, political.
I am of peace and equality. My heart and intentions are as pure as gold. Things are too heavy for me right now.
Take care.” She wrote.
Since its inception on social media, Efia Odo has been at the center of the #FixtheCountry movement.
She has also championed the campaign’s cause on social media and on the streets and was even detained in the process following an unauthorized demonstration by some #FixTheCountry supporters outside the courtroom.
