Thank you for that. You studied marketing in your first year at the university. I want to know something. For that one year studying Marketing, did you learn anything that you can tell me about Marketing?”

Blacko responding to the question revealed that he only attended class a few times. “Nah, I went to class like eight times, I played Fifa as well” he shared.

His comments quickly took social media by storm with most fans divided over his revelation. Whiles some fans believed he did not see value in his education and criticized his actions others also hailed his actions.

A fan tweeted, “B L A C K O to the whole WIASE”

Black Sherif enrolled in the University of Professional Studies, Accra in 2021 after his high school education.

Black Sherif’s situation is not unusual; numerous Ghanaian musicians have also dropped out of school. Mzvee, Stonebwoy, and D-Black are among others who have struggled to manage academics and their music careers.

Many musicians and artists find it difficult to find relevance in their coursework, particularly when they are still exploring their hobbies and passions.

This begs the question of whether Ghanaian colleges are doing enough to engage students and provide them with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in their chosen industries.

Others, such as Samini, Stonebwoy, and Becca, have also defied the hurdles to achieve their educational objectives.

However, he is said to have ditched his education in pursuit of a blooming career that same year.
