“There’re Lights Out Every 15 Minutes In My House” – Kofi Kinaata Shares ‘Dumsor’ Experience
Notwithstanding the denials of certain government authorities on the existence of “dumsor,” Ghanaian musician Kofi Kinaata is vocal about his opposition to the country’s uneven energy supply.
When Kinaata looked back on his difficulties with the unstable power supply, he disclosed that the increasing frequency of power outages had a big effect on his company’s operations.
He told how his workers, who are stationed at his home, continually contact him every fifteen minutes to report on the disturbances brought on by the regular blackouts, or “dumsor,” as they are called in the area.
Kinaata urged for immediate action to solve the issue and voiced her great worry about the poor situation of the nation’s electrical supply during an interview on 3FM.
With a grin, Kinaata said that he does, in fact, experience the difficulties personally because he is presently without electricity in his own house. He underlined how annoying it is to be interrupted when doing something like watching television and then have the lights abruptly go out.
“I am having a lot of problems with the power outage; right now, there is no light in my house. Every fifteen (15) minutes, a few employees of the home give me a call to complain about the power outage.
That’s the way things really are.
It isn’t good. Something happens when you’re watching TV and the lights go off,” he said.
