Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Hon. Edem Agbana, has extended support to residents affected by recent flooding in parts of the municipality following a visit to assess the extent of the damage.
The MP toured some of the hardest-hit communities, including Dzodze, Bagome, and Taso Lanes, where persistent flooding has displaced families and destroyed properties.
During the visit, residents shared heartbreaking accounts of losses suffered as floodwaters swept through homes, damaging personal belongings, food supplies, and other valuables. Many described the situation as one of the worst flooding incidents to hit the area in recent years.

Moved by the plight of the victims, Hon. Edem Agbana made a personal donation of relief items, including food supplies and toiletries, to support affected households. The items were handed over through the Municipal National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) for distribution to victims.

The donation forms part of efforts to provide immediate relief to families struggling to cope with the aftermath of the disaster while longer-term interventions are being explored.
Speaking during the visit, the MP reaffirmed his commitment to standing with residents during this difficult period and pledged to continue engaging relevant authorities to secure additional support for affected communities.
Meanwhile, NADMO officials are expected to conduct further assessments to determine the full extent of the damage and identify additional measures needed to assist victims.
The flooding has once again highlighted the urgent need for sustainable solutions to recurring drainage and flood challenges within the Ketu North Municipality.
