Nigerian skit maker and streamer Shank Comics has suggested that comedians may be richer than many music stars, despite what people often assume.
Speaking during a podcast, he said the public perception is shaped largely by how musicians show off their wealth, especially through expensive cars and luxury items.
According to him, comedians tend to be more reserved with how they spend.
“Guy, I feel like comedy money is more. I swear… people like Bovi are richer than some of these guys, but they don’t show it,” he said.
He pointed out that while some musicians invest heavily in flashy lifestyles, many comedians focus less on appearances and more on keeping their money.
“All those Ferrari and things people are buying… comedians don’t really care about that. We just want to live our life,” he added.
