Nigerian musician and businessman Dapo ‘D’banj’ Oyebanjo has announced that he is “born again.”
The 40-year-old songwriter made his remarks at the ‘Bliss Experience,’ a church function organized by musician Moses Bliss in Abuja, Nigeria.
Dbanj and his wife, Lineo Didi Kilgrow, had lost their one-year-old son Daniel Oyebanjo III in June 2018. The toddler was said to have drowned in the singer’s pool in Ikoyi, Lagos, at the time.
Dbanj said God has replenished him by blessing him with not one, but two twins, recalling the tragic incident.
“What I was trying to suggest is that I’ve been reborn. I meant it when I said Jesus is the koko. If someone knows my background, I still offer credit where credit is due for each of my albums,” he can be heard saying.
“I really remember where I’m coming from. My first son died three years ago. Still the Lord brought me back to life. You can say things to people and they won’t relate so they think you don’t get what they’re going through.
