Criss Waddle has voiced criticism of Alabaster Box’s lawsuit against Medikal, his former signee.
Alabaster Box and rapper Medikal started their legal troubles on April 8 when the group accused Medikal of using their song Akwaaba without permission on his new album, Welcome to Africa.
Welcome to Africa should be taken off from all streaming services immediately, the organization urged.
A complete accounting of all profits made from Medikal’s song’s marketing, distribution, promotion, and performance was also sought.
A writ of summons was eventually filed by Alabaster Box to this effect, and Medikal was sued for GH¢15 million, GH¢10 million in general damages for the infringement, and GH¢5 million for intellectual property abuse.
Criss Waddle claims that given that the contested track has made significantly less than a million cedis to far, Alabaster Box’s demands are unreasonable.

The rapper and CEO of AMG Business expressed his dissatisfaction in a series of tweets on X, previously Twitter, citing the fact that Alabaster Group was a Christian-related firm as a major contributing factor.
“If they were secular musicians I will understand,But Gospel?🤣🤣 You can ask to be paid but to ask for 15 million cedis? How much does a whole album generate?
If u want to be wicked don’t add Christianity to ur identity,” he said.
