“Music Shows Must Not Be Held Only In Accra” – Shatta Wale (Video)
Award-winning dancehall musician, Shatta Wale has said that when looking for sites to stage music performances, event organizers should sometimes go outside of Accra.
He believes it is past time for other villages and places in the country to be considered when preparing events and awards.
Shatta Wale, speaking during the State of the Industry Address, stated that this will allow other singers from outside of Accra to be acknowledged for their capabilities.
When preparing concerts and awards in the country, keep the country in mind.
“It must not continue to happen that all music shows are held in Accra. We must be able to hold big and popular events that happen annually in other parts of the country”, he said.
“This will help promote new artistes coming from those minority regions. This is also a move for the government and investors to open and establish more event centers across the country”, he added.
