Social media users are commending President John Dramani Mahama for his effective leadership, drawing favourable comparisons to former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Many people online think Mahama is proving himself as an outstanding leader, while Akufo-Addo seems more like a leader of a local committee.
These positive comments emerged after Mahama addressed the issue of illegal mining, known as galamsey.
He suggested to the galamsey task force that they should seize the excavators found at illegal sites, rather than burning them, which had been the usual practice.
This recommendation by Mahama was met with widespread approval and praise across social media platforms.
His comments received high praise on social media.
“JM’s second coming has made it clear that Nana Addo was just a unit committee member 😂” one netizen wrote.
Another said: “Great directive Mr Excellency, we only hope individuals seizing them won’t be compromised to release them back into the wild to engage in same activities that threatens our entire survival,”
