The public was stunned by a near-fatal incident that involved the Ghanaian singer Wendy Asiamah Addo, best known by her stage name Wendy Shay, who just signed with Rufftown Records. Wendy Shay has finally spoken out about the incident.
The Kwabenya Highway in Accra was the scene of a car accident involving Wendy Shay on September 10, 2023, at around midnight.
Her Jeep Wrangler collided with a tipper truck.
She had injuries that necessitated a five-day hospital stay in addition to the accident’s considerable damage to her car.
The tragic incidents that appear to strike artists signed to Bullet’s Rufftown Music Label have generated arguments and rumours in the wake of this tragedy. In light of earlier catastrophes, such as the sudden death of the label manager, some individuals have once again blamed Bullet. Wendy Shay, however, has recently spoken out about her experience. She posted a portion of a song she had written and recorded before the accident on September 20th on her Instagram feed. The words of the song, which did not have a title, showed her tenacity and will to persevere in the face of adversity.
The caption to the post read, “I recorded this song on 7.09.2023, had an accident on 10.09.2023. The lyrics in this song are making sense to me now. Some people will only love you when you are dead. I am alive by the grace of God. Thanks to God, my family, my team, and my fans for their support and prayers. Ghana, please say a big thank you to these celebs who showed me love when I needed it most.”
