Ghanaian actress and social media personality, Akuapem Poloo, has opened up on why some wealthy Ghanaian musicians and entertainment figures have reduced their travels outside the country.
Speaking in a viral TikTok video, Akuapem Poloo claimed that individuals linked to a lady in the industry who was recently arrested should be cautious if they failed to support her during her legal troubles.
“If you are a game boy or a businessman who worked with a certain lady in the industry who got arrested recently, and you didn’t help or support her, then you have to stay low and limit your travels to Europe, the UK, and the USA. When such people get arrested, they can mention the names of others involved,” she said.
According to her, this is one reason many Ghanaian musicians and industry players no longer travel abroad frequently for business activities, because they fear they may not return if they encounter legal issues overseas.
“Can’t you see that most of these industry players have reduced their travels? It is not because they do not have money or because they are not getting gigs in those countries,” she stated.
Akuapem Poloo further claimed that many of them are intentionally keeping a low profile because they fear they are being monitored by authorities.
“They are staying low because they know they are on the wanted list,” she added, while advising such individuals to reduce unnecessary travels because “you are being tracked.”
