Kofi Sonny is a Ghanaian artiste popular for his music skills and his hit single Tamale which is topping charts both in Ghana and US has revealed why he does music.
Born in Kumasi, Ghana in 1985 producer Kofi Sonny has been making a name for himself in the entertainment industry for the past decade as a music executive and business entrepreneur.
Before emigrating to the United States, Kofi Sonny credits his grandmother for his entrepreneurial spirit because she was the pillar of his family. She illustrated the blueprint for success that was emulated by his mother and father, who later relocated his entire family to King of Prussia in 1993.
Growing up in America as a child of immigrants created challenges that only inspired Kofi to create opportunities for himself and his family. At an early age, Kofi’s parents recognized his natural athletic ability when he was selected by the Olympic development program for his prodigious soccer abilities and eventually grew to be a top 20 recruit in the nation after graduating from Malvern Prep.
While in high school, Kofi fell in love with music production when he took a class with one of his favourite teachers, who showed him that anything was possible with great focus and attention to detail. He soon began a collective with a few friends in the surrounding neighbourhoods and built a recording studio in his basement.
For it’s the hard work that has helped him so far in his music journey as an artist.As to why he does music the Tamale crooner said he does music to connect with his fans and not to make money like other musicians.
His sole aim for music is not money but rather something more bigger and far from money.
He went on to advise all musicians to strive to be the best version of themselves.
Kofi Sonny is currently out with a song title Tamale. Tamale by Kofi Sonny has released a lot of airplay and making waves in Ghana and beyond.
The Ghanaian musician is yet to release his album how his single Tamale is topping charts and bringing him new followers.
