Fameyeh Bozah, better known as Fameye, the contemporary highlife icon, has revealed how certain media celebrities dismissed him when he first started out in the music industry.
Fameye is now one of the most popular singers in the country, and he has come a long way since his debut as a rookie.
According to Fameye, he had to deal with a lot of negativity from radio hosts and media people because his popularity was so low at the time.
Fameye revealed his decision in an interview with GHToday’s Serwaa Amihere.
“I’ve confronted things I wasn’t intending to face,” he remarked.
In the industry, I was unappreciated. They treated me with contempt and disregarded my profession.
“When I go for interviews or backstage at events, certain media people treat you disrespectfully.” They despised me because of my former label’s problems.
They didn’t want to embrace his talent or musical style.
