In an interview with PropertyFM, veteran hip-hop singer Mzbel said that spirituality is a way of life rather than only an activity.

For spiritual protection, Mzbel claims that enlisting the aid of gods is just as essential as using any other method.

“Although spirituality is a way of life, it also includes consulting Mallams, deities, and fetish priests for spiritual protection as a musician.

Mzbel said, “You have to look up into the skies and thank the sun when you wake up in the morning, and you have to pour water on the ground and thank the earth.”

She continued by saying that Africans should ideally be spiritual and in touch with nature.

“As for spirituality, it is considered to be the way of Africans because they can communicate with the sun, moon, and earth and can sense what’s in the wind.”
