Cheap data packages is not what the people need—Shatta Wale slams Mahama, Sam George

Charles Nii Armah Mensah, widely known as Shatta Wale, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the decision made by the Communications Minister and the President to provide free data on Independence Day.
It’s noteworthy that on Independence Day, the Communication Minister, Sam Nartey George, announced that the government had instructed telecom companies to give free data packages to the public.
Reacting to this, Shatta Wale strongly believes that what Ghanaians truly need are opportunities that can help them improve their lives rather than free data.
Shatta Wale argued that these free data bundles will not have any significant impact on the challenging conditions faced by many Ghanaians.
Instead, he emphasized the importance of the government focusing on providing opportunities that allow people to generate wealth and improve their living standards.
He raised concerns that while the government offers free data to the citizens, there might be a risk of them misusing the country’s funds and resources for personal gain, leaving the people in poverty.
He stated in a post shared via social media that “This is not what Ghanaians need massa ..You think this is what can make you stay in power Abi .. You didn’t even say 1000ghc for every Ghanaian and small time you will be planning to buy properties abroad …Next Joke please !
Let us be serious in this country .. Our people need money money money money oooo tonnn!!!!”
